EPR Inc. and Simatek`s Bucket Elevators
West Springfield, Massachusetts -- EPR Inc. and Simatek Holding and its wholly owned subsidiaries have entered into an agreement giving EPR Inc. the exclusive right to manufacture, market, sell, and distribute Simatek products in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Simatek's Bulk Systems universal elevators constitute a flexible and space-saving conveying system, designed for horizontal and vertical bulk moving operations. Based on a unique design of modular sections, it provides for an extremely flexible system with as many inlets and outlets as required. Providing the user with square or open rectangular inlets, as well as vibrating feeders and batch inlets feeding the product into the elevator in specific portions. As a standard the elevators are supplied with one end outlet and may have a number of electric- pneumatic intermediate outlets. At the outlet the buckets have a wide emptying angle ensuring that the buckets are entirely emptied. The elevators are available in mild or stainless steel, or a combination thereof as required.
The system provides and absolutely gentle conveying method, based on a strong hollow pin chain with nylon rollers running in highly accurate chain gates equipped with nylon chain guides ensuring no bucket dislodgment, low power consumption, and a very steady and silent movement. The chain and rollers are available in various materials.
A ring and a steel pin control the buckets of a Simatek elevator. This unique system renders the buckets a harmonic motional curve in the emptying sections and a very accurate overlap of the buckets. The buckets are available in PP, PP+ glass for high temperature, PP+ carbon for anti-static execution, and stainless steel. The embedded steel pins minimize wear and tear and thus prolong the bucket lifetime.
The elevator buckets are made from white polypropylene, which is approved, for use in the food processing industry, in four sizes, which allow quantities up to 45 m3/h.
Simatek's universal elevators are of a standard modular design and are available in open or closed construction. Filling and discharge stations can be placed as required on the hori- zontal conveying sections, and can be operated manually, electrically or pneumatically.
The systems control unit continuously monitors power consumption and in an event of a sudden fluctuation, stops the machine to prevent overload or breakdown. This control unit replaces the more traditional friction problematic clutch/torque clutch.
As optional equipment Simatek offers a built in washing system, with integrated nozzles for washing of buckets and chains, with hot air drying. A separate, mobile washing station with integrated soap dosing, pump, drier, and control unit is also available.
In Europe and South America Simatek, because of their high quality universal elevators, has obtained large market shares in the fields of fish-feed pellets with up to 35% contents of oil/grase, pet food, seed grain, detergents, chips, snacks, nuts, peanuts, noodles, carbon black, battery powder, epoxy flakes, dried sludge pellets, corn flakes, tobacco, frozen vegetables, etc.
Simatek's other product lines include Jet Pulse Air filters 3C and 4T, Spot Filters for Conve- yors, Pit Aspiration filters, and Rotary Airlocks. Simatek's product line encompasses the latest technology; its 3C Jet Pulse Filter is a low pressure/high volume individual bag-clea- ning filter of an explosion-proof design capable of cleaning 10-meter long bags. Simatek products broaden EPR Inc.'s ability to introduce integrated Aerodynamic Module (ADM)/ Fabric Filter Systems into the market place.
EPR Inc. is a product recovery and air pollution control company with patented particulate collection, separation and reprocessing technology. EPR Inc. is engaged in the manufac- ture, distribution and sale of its patented particulate collection device, the ADM. The ADM is a significant advancement in gas cleaning technology that uses aerodynamic engineering to attain particulate collection efficiencies in excess of 95% with low energy consumption (3'-8' WC). The ADM, already in commercial use has applications in the cereal, cement, paper, chemical, mineral and other industries.
