It might come to some peoples’ surprise that in the “City that Never Sleeps,” lies one of the largest growing indoor agricultural trade shows in the United States.
Just last week Illumitex was one of the many to participate in the 4th Annual Indoor AgCon, held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This two-day event brought together some of the biggest industry leaders in indoor farming and agriculture, allowing them to network, hear from experts, and check out some of the market competition.
With over 50 exhibitors, the show had plenty to offer for those seeking nothing but the best and latest news in technology and methods for better indoor agriculture practice. Products at the show ranged from LED light manufacturers, vertical growing systems, soil nutrients, and much more.
“It was amazing to see the progression Indoor AgCon has made in the industry from seeing the fourth annual, and being at the first annual, and seeing how far it has come,” said Dennis Riling. “There was a huge turnout. In only four years, this new industry has gone from a small room of pioneers, to a huge rapidly growing market full of possibilities and opportunities.”
Riling was just one of the Illumitex team members who took the show by force. Opportunities for show attendees and exhibitors included networking, conferences, speaker sessions, and an inside look on the growing business of indoor agriculture.
Paul Hardej, Horticulture Sales Manager for Vertical Farm/Turn-Key Solutions, was one of the three closing speakers this year at Indoor Agcon, along with competitors from Philips Lighting as well as Heliospectra. Dr. Rebecca Knight, Director of R&D, also participated in an “ask me anything” lunch session, in which attendees were able to pick her brains on all things horticulture, lighting and LED.
Illumitex looks forward to the 5th Annual Indoor AgCon, as well as the promising future of indoor agriculture and LED lighting.
