The World Biogas Association (WBA) is inviting experts from the biogas, agrivoltaics, and farming sectors in Denmark and Italy to join Advisory Boards on the Horizon Europe project, Value4Farm.

Launched in September 2023, Value4Farm is a Horizon Europe project with a grant valued at approximately €7 million. This ambitious 42-month initiative brings together 14 organisations from across Europe, united by a common goal: to defossilise the farming industry. The project integrates biogas and agrivoltaics technologies with food production systems, aiming to create a sustainable agricultural value chain that reduces emissions, enhances energy efficiency, and supports resilient food systems.

The project is being developed across three demonstration sites in Belgium, Denmark, and Italy, where innovative solutions are tested in real-world farming environments.

Value4Farm Advisory Board today!

WBA is tasked with assembling two Advisory Boards:

  1. Technology Providers Advisory Board – for experts and businesses offering biogas, agrivoltaics, and related technologies.
  2. End-Users Advisory Board – for farmers and agricultural practitioners directly involved in food production.

The Advisory Boards will play a crucial role in guiding the project’s development by:

  • Providing feedback on the progress and outcomes of the research.
  • Sharing expertise to help shape practical, scalable solutions.
  • Engaging with peers from across Europe to exchange ideas and best practices.

While membership is voluntary, there are several key benefits:

  • Access to exclusive online meetings presenting project updates and findings.
  • Expenses-paid invitations to on-site visits at the demonstration sites in Belgium, Denmark, and Italy.
  • An opportunity to attend the Value4Farm final workshop in early 2027, with all travel costs covered.
  • The chance to influence sustainable agriculture policy and technology development at both national and European levels.

We’ve already gathered a dynamic group of experts supporting the project, but we’re still looking for passionate representatives from Denmark and Italy to join us.

If you’re active in the biogas, agrivoltaics, or farming sectors and want to be part of this transformative journey, we’d love to hear from you.

Please contact Jocelyne Bia at jbia@worldbiogasassociation.org to learn more about the project and the role of Advisory Board members.
