Perfect Weather Comes at Right Time for Planting, Spirits

If you’re like me, then you’re overwhelmed with all of the COVID-19 articles, webinars, emails and other things being constantly pumped into your inbox. I thought it’d be nice to take a break and reflect on some things that feel a little more normal.

In my part of the state, south central Minnesota, we had some of the most perfect planting weather I can remember. Sunny skies, warm weather, dry fields, and a timely shot of rain made for one of the more enjoyable weeks in recent history for me and other farmers in the southern part of the state. On my own farm I was able to direct seed and transplant a bunch of crops including carrots, potatoes, lettuce, beets, and more!
