RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

It is often said that research is nothing but formalised curiosity. At Indo Farm we believe in keeping our curiosity alive and fuel it constantly. We owe our swift progress to our dedicated and zealous R&D staff that has created some of the most innovative product designs in the market. Equipped with design software like Auto CAD and ProE, our in-house scientists are on a constant look-out for ideas to make our machines even more fuel-efficient and affordable while maintaining Indo Farm’s promise of absolute quality.

Indigenisation of technology for manufacture of high-grade tractor engines, obtained from Ursus, Poland
Development of indigenous engines in 3-cylinder and 4-cylinder range, used in our 3-series tractor models
Design of re-entrant type combustion chamber in all engines for better combustion through proper air fuel mixing resulting in low fuel consumption
Ring-carrier design in 3 series engines for increased piston life
Engines having sufficient back-up torque for deep cultivation and haulage of heavy loads on steep gradients
Diesel filter-cum-water separator for removal of water from diesel for enhanced life of Fuel Injection Pump
Design of Pick-N-Carry cranes of 9 tonnes-30 tonnes capacity.

FACILITIES

Indo Farm’s Baddi plant is spread over 34 acres of land in the beautiful valley of Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, with the grey iron and SG iron foundry set up in additional 5 acres. Given that we have an installed capacity of 12,000 tractors, 2,400 Cranes, 300 Harvester Combines, 20,000 Engines & 6,000 Gensets per annum, the expanse only seems natural.

Our state-of-the-art Machine Shop has more than 150 modern machines, SPMs and latest CNC machining centres for producing quality components like cylinder heads, blocks, transmission housings, gear boxes, hydraulic housings, axle tubes, differential cages, timing cases & covers, fly wheel housings, etc.

To stay on top of latest technological advancements, idea and innovations in our field, we have a separate department for Research, Design, Development and Testing, instrumental in developing machines using latest technology for catering to the ever-changing farming needs.
