Farmco - Model HL Series -4-Wheeled Headlock Feeder
A cattle headlock feeder on wheels, up to 7’ wide, designed to feed large hay bales, chopped feeds, and TMR. Catching cattle is a problem almost as old as cattle farming itself. The iconic image of a cowboy has him on horseback, swinging…a lasso. As cool as that looks, it’s still not as efficient as locking cattle up while they feed. The HL series cattle headlock feeder is designed to do just that.
To create the HL feeder, we partnered with Sturdy Built Manufacturing in Denver, PA, a long-time maker of galvanized dairy equipment. Together, we created a modified version of Farmco’s hay feed wagons, with headlocks built in. With a combination of 1” and 1.9” high yield galvanized tubing, the headlocks are built to handle even the rowdiest animals.
