Great Plains - Model 3P806NT & 3P1006NT -8” & 10” Mounted No-Till Compact Drills
The Great Plains 3P806NT and 3P1006NT are 2-point mounted no-till drills with lift-assist wheels to reduce tractor 3-point lift requirements. These drills are designed for planting directly into high-residue areas like those in food plots, pasture renovation, land reclamation, and more. Rugged openers and multiple box combinations allow three different seeds to be planted at three different rates, all at one time, and into some of the toughest conditions.
The Great Plains 3P806NT and 3P1006NT are 2-point mounted no-till drills with lift assist wheels to ensure safe operation and transport.
Both drills utilize 06 Series Openers to properly place seed. Coulters are pre-loaded to 450 pounds to ensure proper penetration, even in the toughest conditions. This spring-loaded coulter design adds stability and improved tracking on slopes. A double disc configuration and full-length seed tube ensure seed is consistently placed at the chosen depth. Depth is controlled by the 18-position T-handle press wheel adjustment.
Additional boxes are available for planting both native grass and small seeds. This allows up to three different seeds to be planted at separate rates and different depths at the same time.
Featuring a fluted feed design, the main seed box’s seeding rate is set with the four-speed transmission and adjustable gate opening. The optional native grass box meters seed with the field proven picker wheel, and rates are adjusted by varying the speed of the drive. Lastly, the optional small seeds attachment is a smaller version of the fluted feed system, and seeding rates are set by changing the opening of the fluted feed. The ground-drive system automatically disengages when lifted, simplifying the unit and enhancing its reliability.
06 Series openers feature an integrally-mounted coulter and row unit combination with the opener moving independently of the coulter.

The center drive wheel(s) serve a dual purpose: to drive the metering systems and assist in controlling coulter depth.
Two standard lift assist wheels in the rear of the 3P806NT & 3P1006NT provide greater lift capacity and assist the tractor`s 3-point. Straddle axle caster wheels provide maneuverability and strength.
Seed up to three different seeds at the same time (main seedbox, Native Grass, Small Seeds).
