OysterGro - Bags
The material we use for our OysterGro® Bags is produced by Intermas. In stock we have 18mm, 14mm, 9mm, 6mm, 4mm and 2mm material which can be delivered flat, easy ship, fully manufactured or divided to match your requirements.
The bags come in flat stacked on a pallet. One bundle has 20 bags inside. The flat bag is ready for you to finish it to match your individual requirements.
Easy Ship Bags are sold in bundles of 10. They are premanufactured with trimmed edges, standardised corner cuts and a bungee closure installed. The only thing you need to do is to clip the bottom of the bag and it’s ready for your oysters.
Our Standard boxed bags are ready to use as soon as they arrive. They come fully assembled which means they have a color coded closure depending on the mesh size and the bag is clipped together.
Divided Bags have a solid partition in the middle giving you two sides to put the oysters in. After biologist-led site studies, it was found that the farmers could put up to 15% more oysters in divided bags than our single chamber standard bags. These bags have also shown a small decrease in mortality rates ranging from 1% to 5% difference from the standard bag configuration.
We recommend these bags for grow out in rapid fouling areas.
