Bailey Nurseries is a fourth-generation family-owned nursery serving customers throughout the U.S. and Canada. We are widely recognized as one of the United States` largest wholesale nurseries, with products distributed by more than 4500 independent garden centers, landscapers, growers and re-wholesalers. Our main offices and growing fields are located in Newport, Minnesota, (just outside the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul) and we also operate nurseries in Yamhill and Sauvie Island, Oregon; Sunnyside, Washington and Onarga, Illinois.

Our employees are like family, too

We could never have accomplished everything we have in the last hundred plus years without the dedication and just plain hard work of the people who work with us. During our peak periods in spring and summer we employ over 400 full-time and 1,200 seasonal employees at our facilities across the country. We take great pride in our employees and they reciprocate with amazing pride in their work. So not surprisingly, many of our employees have been with us for 20 years and longer. We consider our employees and their families part of the Bailey family.

Good breeding always shows

Our efforts in breeding and working with breeders from around the world are directed at marked improvements for the consumer, from size, shape and form, to flower color, fragrance and disease resistance. With these lofty goals in mind, today we have introduced well over 200 varieties of new plants. We are constantly looking for and testing the best the world has to offer, searching for improved habit, ornamental qualities and four season interest. Today these new plants can be found in one of our three plant brands, Endless Summer® Collection Hydrangeas, Easy Elegance® Roses or First Editions® new plants.
