Ca3 BioFresh®: THE NON-CAUSTIC CALCIUM BOLUS. Milk fever is a metabolic disease caused by a low calcium blood level. A short time after calving, the metabolism must mobilize a lot of calcium from the bones. This “mobilization start“ takes around 48 hours. In the meantime, there is a gap of calcium in the blood. This gap influences muscles and nerves in a negative way. Milk fever arises. Cows with optimum calcium and vitamin D3 supply have a better start to lactation, are healthier, and produce more milk.
- High levels of fast and slow availability calcium (45.5 g) and vitamin D3 (50,000 I.E.) per bolus
- Calcium sources with varying release rates supply the cow evenly with calcium
- Well tolerated by membranes – no irritation of the mouth, esophagus and rumen

- Administer one bolus with the applicator per instructions when calving. If required, administer a second bolus approx. 12 hours after birth.
