B.S.P. Engineering is born in 1997 thanks to the over twenty years experience of the entrepreneur Franco Montorfano from Milan.

In 1976 Franco Montorfano, in Germany for his business, met Mr. Xaver Lipp, inventor of the spiralled silos construction system.

Fascinated by this innovative procedure, which eliminates all the defects of the traditional bolted and welded silos, Franco Montorfano moves from Milan to Verona – seat of the most important agro-food Italian fair - and founds in 1977 the R.B.S. International.

The R.B.S. International obtains the Lipp system patent, acquires the machineries for the construction of Lipp silos, thus starting a new business as a producer of spiralled silos and as an important supplier to Farmers’ unions, agro-food associations, mills and fodder industries.

In 1980 R.B.S. International expands its technologies by obtaining the French Parcy know-how for the construction of special planetary extractors for the extraction of hard flowing products from flat bottom silos.

The R.B.S. International success is immediate.

The new silos construction procedure and the innovative planetary extraction system are well appreciated by Italian and foreign clients.

R.B.S. International enlarges and decides also for the production of all the equipment necessary to realise a complete turnkey plant: bucket elevators, chain conveyors, belt conveyors, screw conveyors, filtration systems etc.
In 1997 Franco, together with his sons Marco, Silvia and Mauro, founds a new society, the B.S.P. Engineering i.e Bulk Storage Plants Engineering.

B.S.P. Engineering is a young and dynamic society which decides to enlarge and expand its production field. The core business does no more limit to the agro-food sector but extends to the larger and more complex industrial one, where the continuous research and development allow B.S.P. to become a leader in the storage, extraction and handling of hard flowing products.

Organization
B.S.P. Engineering owns an internal engineering and design department and cooperates with three external engineering bureaux involved into the masonry plan and silos structural calculation as well as in the design of new extraction and handling machines, thus allowing B.S.P. to supply a complete turnkey plant according to the client’s specific needs.

B.S.P. Engineering is represented by cooperating companies all over the world: Europe, USA, Central America, South America, Australia, Africa, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Burma, Laos and Indonesia.
