Hayes & Stolz - Bucket Elevator Head Sections

Hayes & Stolz designs their Bucket Elevator head and cap profiles to optimize the discharge efficiency by carefully matching products’ material characteristics to the appropriate elevator bucket style and speed, and by analyzing the discharge trajectory over the head pulley. The head sections feature an adjustable throat plate to ensure proper discharge, and a lagged crowned face head pulley mounted with outboard pillowblock bearings. Jacking bolts are located under each head shaft bearing for shaft leveling during installation. UHMW shaft seals make the assembly weather and dust-tight where the shaft penetrates the cap. For ease of maintenance, the head sections come with inspection and access doors in critical areas and the cap features a split design for easier handling.
