Carbon OxyTech - Humic Acid
Our humic acid is highly concentrated, certified, with significantly low levels of ash and heavy metals, and derived from the low-ranked coal lignite. Our technology works at low temperature and atmospheric pressure, with negligible CO2 emissions, to produce high yield (95%) and quality of humic acid from coal lignite and other feedstocks. The product stream is not required to undergo energy-intense separation steps and it can be used, without further treatment, either as liquid or solid product.
The market size of humic acid is expected to exhibit over 14% Compound annual growth rate (CAGR) by 2026 from US$510.9 million in 2018. Increasing population and changing food consumption pattern due to increasing health awareness is projected to boost the humic acid demand over the forecast period. In the North America the market size of humic acid garnered a significant share of the overall industry with revenue more than US$150 million in 2016. With the growing demand for organic products in the U.S. and Canada, the region will witness a significant growth in the market in the coming years. This market is characterized by low market power concentration with respect to production as well as consumption.
Application and usage of humic acids:
The humic acid market is catalyzed by the rising investments in adopting sustainable ways of farming in agriculture and horticulture, pharmaceutical industry, construction, animal feed, water purification, environmental protection and others.
Humic acids as organic fertilizers in agriculture for soil and foliar applications.
The use of humic acid as fertilizers for agriculture accounts for 55% of the global humic acid market.
- -Maximizing crops yield
- -Enhancing the root-shoot growth and promoting microbial activity.
- -Improving the water-retention capacity and absorption of nutrients by plants.
- -Enhance nutrient uptake & use efficiency.
- -Reducing synthetic fertilizer dependency.
- -Cultivate sustainability.
Humic acids in the pharmaceutical segment:
The demand of humic acids in the pharmaceutical application is projected to be one of the fastest growing applications with CAGR of 5.7% in 2024. Humic acids and its derivatives can be used for the treatment of gastric, intestinal and hepatic diseases. Humic acids are generally used for musculoskeletal disorders, gynecological problems and skin treatment.
Humic acids as an ingredient for Livestock feed
Many manufacturers of animal feed are adopting humic acid as an ingredient. Increasing gastrointestinal infections coupled with the growing incidence of zoonotic diseases is likely to lead to an increase in adoption of humic acids. Adoption of humic acid for producing animal feed is expected to ensure an improved utilization of nutrients in animals thereby stabilizing the feces consistency of animals.
Environmental applications
Humic acids is used to remove toxic metals, anthropogenic organic chemicals, and other pollutants such as herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, dioxins, and some pharmaceutical products like estrogenic compounds from water.
Other industrial applications
Humic acids can be used as an additive to control the setting rate of concrete; to prepare a natural indigo to dye wood veneer; to color clay tiles; as an agent for tanning leather and numerous applications in the paper industry. This segment growth will also be boosted by various government subsidiaries and grants in different countries around the globe. Also, humic acids can be used in drilling fluid and for enhance oil recovery (EOR).
