Homogenising - Cell Disruption Microalgae
Microalgae are utilized for a wide range of products including nutraceuticals, biofuels and animal feeds across several sectors including AgriBioTech and CleanTech. Some algal cells require significant high pressures to disrupt due to their rigid cell wall. Our scalable technology excels with this task and can also protect intracellular contents purity and quality.
Based upon our experience, and on published research papers; for microalgae cell disruptions (depending upon the type of algae), 10 to 300 MPa (3000 bar) pressure and 1 to 2 passes are usually recommended.
