InsectsLimited Serrico - Model 500 - Cigarette Beetle Kit

The Serrico™ Cigarette Beetle Kit (IL-500-10) features Fuji Flavor’s dual lure system of sex attractant pheromone lures and food attractant lures that attract Cigarette Beetles with a controlled release of pheromone. The lure system is paired with the Serrico™ trap that was designed specifically for cigarette beetles.

These traps can easily be placed on floors, hung on walls and placed anywhere that Cigarette Beetles are suspected such as humidors, storage warehouses and kitchen pantries. Beetles that are attracted to the lure are readily stuck in the glue upon entering the trap.

This Serrico™ Cigarette Beetle Kit pairs the science of insect biology to the technology of a trapping system to assist you with the task of monitoring for these pests in your environment. In an Integrated Pest Management program, monitoring can ultimately help you reduce pest numbers. When paired with a trapping system, the lures do this by:

• Telling you if the beetles are present

• Indicating where they are coming from

• Finally telling you whether the control measures (E.g. removal of the infested product, increased sanitation, freezing, etc.) that you have taken are working or not.

When you open this kit box, you will find the 10 traps unfolded, and stacked along with 10 individually packaged sex attractant pheromone lures and 10 individually packaged food attractant lures.

The instructions for the kit are printed on the outside of the box. The traps will need to be folded into place by hand, according to the instructions on the back of the kit box. The glue pad on each trap is covered with an easily removed plastic cover that should be removed after the traps have been folded into place.

Each lure is individually packaged to keep them fresh until you are ready to place them into a trap. When you are ready to use this product, the lures should be removed from their packaging and placed into the center of the glue pad on the bottom side of each trap.

Although the lures are considered non-toxic, avoid direct contact with your skin if possible or simply wash your hands with warm water and soap if contact is made. The traps are then ready to be placed out in areas where cigarette beetles are being seen to begin monitoring for male and female cigarette beetles that are attracted to the lures.

These traps will give you the information that you need to reduce or remove your beetle issue.  Serrico™ lures are non-pesticidal and only act as an attractant. If the glue from the trap accidentally gets onto your hands, it is not toxic and can be easily washed off using soap and warm water.
