Kratora - Combretum Quadrangulare (Sakae Naa)

Combretum quadrangulare, also called sakae naa, has long been used in Thailand as a kratom substitute since kratom was banned in this nation in the mid 20th Century. Native to the wetlands and jungles of Southeast Asia, including Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Myanmar, the combretum quadrangulare tree is actually regarded as holding magical powers. A member of the combretaceae family, this small tree can reach a height of 10 meters tall. In Southeast Asia, it is usually plucked fresh off the plant and consumed without any special processing or drying. It is quite rare outside of Asia. The US FDA has not approved this herb to be sold for internal use. Sold for external use only.
