A Tier 3 John Deere 6090 diesel engine provides 250 hp (186.4 kW) for rock-solid results on jobs requiring depths of up to 8` (2.4 m). In addition to providing better boom visibility, the operator’s platform is equipped with the Rollover Protective Structure (ROPS) for enhanced operator safety.

Improve cutting operations with a low-speed, high-torque motor. Because the large Rotary Power headshaft motor and splined headshaft produce lower speed and higher torque, you’re assured greater production as cutting teeth better penetrate rock and minimize chainwear.

The new TEC® Plus electronic control system features CAN bus technology, which utilizes multiple control modules located throughout the machine for real-time performance data and advanced troubleshooting capabilities.

Bucket Wheel. An optional bucket wheel attachment has the ability to cut 22", 24" or 28" (55.9 cm, 61 cm or 71.1 cm) wide trenches. Designed for the installation of small-diameter crosscountry pipelines, the bucket wheel also helps increase productivity in soft soils.

Increase spoil removal with longer, wider conveyors. The T655 COMMANDER 3 features an optional 8` (2.4 m) or 12` (3.7 m) conveyor with 24" (61 cm) wide belts, allowing the operator to pull more spoil from the ditch and deposit it farther from the machine when using larger boom / cutter combinations.
