EcoGro - Compost

EcoGro, a Class I quality compost, is made from tree trimmings, food waste, yard waste, leaves, etc. A stable organic matter, it is a good source of nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium, sulfur and other nutrients essential for plant growth. These nutrients are made available to the plant roots in a slow release form.

EcoGro compost has a healthy population of naturally occurring microorganisms. These organisms improve soil structure, creating passageways in the soil for the movement of air, water, and nutrients. EcoGro contains significant quantities of organic matter necessary for water retention and provides food for the soil organisms, which in turn “feed the plants.” It helps return many properties to the soil which have been lost over time and with use. This Class I compost can be used with all types of plants and soil (sandy to clay).

Application Rates:
As a Garden Amendment —
Highly recommended. EcoGro® is low in salts and pH. It can be used as a high percentage of the soil mix. Suggest using for all trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials, and garden beds.

As a Soil Amendment —
EcoGro® can be used at any time of the year, in any type of soil. It is especially well suited for use in clay soils where it can be used at twice the normal application rate.
