What’s Changed?

New Leachate Collection System
HOTBIN 200 litre features a much-requested leachate collection system. The leachate that is naturally created as part of the HOTBIN composting process has now been capped to prevent the liquid continually seeping from the aeration mesh and allowing you to tap it off and collect the free leachate liquid fertiliser as and when required. The clever angled internal base funnels the liquid towards the drainage cap like water draining from a shower tray. You just need a shallow container to collect it in prior to using it on your garden.

Superior Lid Seal
The new lid seal design includes a raised step around the edge of the seal that when closed inter-locks like a tongue and groove join. This much-improved lid seal helps to keep the lid firmly closed, prevents any water ingress during heavy rainfall and locks in heat even more effectively.

And Even Better Looking
A few aesthetic changes to the design include the removal of the overhanging hinge at the back. The hinge is now included in the body of the product design to make the unit more compact without impacting on the internal capacity. The eagle-eyed amongst you may also have noticed that the aeration mesh that was originally glued to the lower front of the HOTBIN is now neatly recessed into a slot positioned under the front bottom edge of the hatch.
