Composting Plants (Closed System/loop)

SHARE

SIGMA composting plants are an effective technology for the stabilization of the under-screen fraction, separated from mixed municipal waste, as well as for the processing of green waste from selective collection. This technology is based on the use of closed, reinforced concrete bioreactors, with the automatic aeration and irrigation system of the deposit, which enables process optimisation.

The use of prefabricated components enables the installation of the composting plant to be located on a concrete pad or reinforced ground. Such structures reduces the installation time and also allows greater flexibility. The installation can be relocated of modified to increase flexibility and capacity at any time.

Our oxygen stabilization technology includes:

  • recirculation of water leachated from chambers, biofilter, ventilation condensate,
  • water circulation replenishment with fresh tap water,
  • cyclical aeration with fresh air,
  • maintaining the temperature in the range ensuring the correct flow of the process,
  • water spraying, 3 cycles per day,
  • possibility of bio-drying in chambers, also use of rainwater and leachate from the landfill for spraying,
  • optional: two-stage purification of post-process air (scrubber + biofilter) and circulating water purification in trommel screen.
