Digestate Management for Municipal Waste
Turn waste into digestate fertilizer–a valuable resource. After food waste is anaerobically digested, the remaining material (digestate) can be converted to digestate fertilizer. Anaergia’s integrated nutrient recovery technologies maximize the value of digestate by extracting energy and creating valuable soil amendment. Our proprietary AMR™ ammonia removal technology uses heat that would otherwise be wasted to recover up to 90% of ammonia nitrogen from digestate and can produce a variety of digestate fertilizers. The process also reduces the volume of digestate by 80% to minimize disposal costs.
Anaergia’s proprietary dewatering technology dewaters digestate in preparation for downstream value extraction or use. Our slow speed and low energy-load equipment is designed to create long duty cycles and be virtually maintenance-free.
Extracted water can be treated with Fibreplate™, a next-generation hybrid membrane bioreactor for filtrate and wastewater recycling.
