RKW Hyplast - Energy Screen Films
‘Energy screen’ films are used as a screen in a greenhouse to reduce the energy consumption during the cold winter months.
These thin translucent anti-fogging films are positioned horizontally between the crop and the roof of the greenhouse. In this way, an ideal climate (high relative humidity) is created for the young growing plants in the substrate culture (e.g. paprika, cucumber, …). The energy screen is suspended in the greenhouse 3 to 6 weeks before the startup of a new culture. The light necessary for plant growth is transmitted, and the film prevents heat to escape. Thus the film helps to maintain the proper temperature inside the greenhouse.
The table below gives a brief overview of the most important Hyplast Energy screen films and their properties. Under certain conditions, Hyplast NV can of course develop and produce customer-made films. For detailed information about our range of Energy screen films, please contact our sales department.
