Way Back When
In 1951 William R. Smith realized that the growth in suburbs meant that homeowners were going to need products to help them easily take care of those lawns. The first "Snappin` Turtle" rotary blade mower was produced and with it, the iconic Snapper brand.

Since our original product, we have continued to revolutionize lawn mowers. In 2004 Snapper was acquired by Briggs & Stratton®, bringing two legendary American brands together. Our bright red mowers have helped countless homeowners make quick work of their yards and helped lawn professionals build thriving businesses.

Today
Taking care of a yard requires more than just a lawn mower. Today`s Snapper lineup includes gas and battery-powered walk mowers, lawn tractors and zero turns, as well as other battery-powered tools to make yard work easy like hedge trimmers, chain saws, leaf blowers and more. We`ve expanded our offering to meet the needs of the homeowners and lawn care professionals who count on us.

Tomorrow
