ORSALIT - Foodstuff for Special Medical Purposes
ORSALIT® is a foodstuff for special medical purposes. Its carefully selected composition provides supplementation of current water and electrolyte losses in infants and children, as well as in adults. ORSALIT® effectively provides hydration through the use of an effective mechanism for the joint absorption of water, sodium and glucose. Thanks to this, the preparation reduces the risk of complications resulting from diarrhoea and vomiting.

Instructions of useORSALIT® is a foodstuff for special medical purposes, for dietary management in conditions of dehydration, especially during diarrhoea or vomiting and in situations where there is a risk of dehydration. ORSALIT® supplements liquids and minerals in the event of water and electrolyte disturbances.
Contraindications:ORSALIT® preparation should not be used in people suffering from intestinal obstruction or hemodynamic shock.
DosageDosage depends on the dehydration level and physician’s recommendations. It is usually recommended to administer 50 – 100 ml of oral hydration fluid per kg of body weight during the first 4 hours, and additionally 5 – 10 ml per kg of body weight after each diarrhoeal stool or vomiting. At the subsequent stage of hydration, it is recommended to administer 5 – 10 ml of hydration fluid after each diarrhoeal stool or vomiting.
