Fruit-Control - Fruit Flex Case System (FFC)

Each pallet is covered with a transparent PVC wrapper fitted with small eyelets for the valves and pipes necessary for gas introduction and air analyses.The pallet base is closed using a hermetic locking system, specially conceived to avoid any gas exchange with outside air.Inside the wrapper a controlled atmosphere is created ,controlled by an automatic system which, by means of air component analyses ( CO2 and O2), manages the values , lets in storage gas (normally CO2) and hence guarantees the correct parameters for each product in order to leng-then the storage period considerably with respect to simple refrigerated cold storage.Use of the system avoids the formation of moulds which could degrade the product and at the same time protects the fruits from weight loss by avoiding the loss of humidity.Each pallet is independent from the others, therefore controlled atmosphere storage may be interrupted at any time without causing damage by opening pallets that were intended to be left closed for longer.
