Polillero - Model PFA - Funnel Tree Trap

What is it?

It is a trap specially designed for moth capture.

It consists of:

• The upper lid that prevents the entry of water into the dump and is attached to the funnel, whose design facilitates the entry of the moths while preventing them from escaping. The lid has a metal hook to facilitate its placement in the branches.
• The base, where the captured insects fall.
• The smell containing the pheromone (may anchor at the bottom of the top lid or inside the container). The pheromone that has to be used is NOT included in the purchase of the Polillero Funnel Tree.

What`s the use?

The Funnel Tree Polillero is a multipurpose cop specially indicated for flight tracking (monothere) and massive capture of a wide variety of lepidópters with the appropriate pheromone: Euzophera pinguis, Prays oleae, Prays citri, Palpita unionalis, Lobesia botrana, Cydia pommonella, Anarsia lineatella, Grapholita annoying, etc.

It is not indicated for the capture of flies, in this case we will use the musketeer Conetrap, Maxitrap or Hemitrap depending on the species to be captured.

How to apply it?

Using the metallic hook of the lid, we will hang the Funnel Tree Poliller on a branch of at least 1 finger thickness (about 2-3cm), preventing the cop from being completely exposed to the sun but at the same time not being excessively hidden.

In the stunner should be incorporated into the chample, in one of the two possible locations, the pheromones are specific to each pest and usually last 4-6 weeks (45 days).

When to apply it?

The time of placement of the Polillero Funnel Tree will be determined by the nature of the pest, cultivation and type of use (monitoring or mass capture). You can consult the biological cycle of pests to determine the most appropriate times of application.

For example, in the case of Carpocapsa we will place the polylleros in early April, while in the case of Euzophera pinguis we will place it in early March.

How many Funnel grove to place?

To decide how many musketeers we must place, the first question is: What is the goal with which we place these polymakers?

• Monitoring the adult population: it allows us to identify whether it is necessary to perform a phytosanitary treatment and the optimal time for this. In this case we will place about 2-5 polyrs per hectare
• Pest control: It allows us to reduce the adult population of the pest by avoiding damage to the fruit. Although the dose is variable depending on the species and the crop subject to mass capture, we will adjust about 10-30 polyves per hectare.

In the case of reduced surfaces or isolated trees we will place a Funnel Polillero every 2 or 3 trees.

How`s it sold?

It is sold in boxes of 25 units (although it is possible to purchase fewer units) and where it only has to be joined: the top (stap and funnel) with the white base and the green sck with the lid or the base.

The pheromone that has to be used is NOT included with the purchase of the Funnel Tree Poliller.

In case of loss or breakage of any of the components of the Funnel Tree Poliller, these can be purchased separately and are:

• Metal hanging support

When to remove it?

Depending on the nature of the plague, generations of it...we will rethink the stpoman after its use for reuse in the future or we will keep it throughout the cycle.

You can consult the biological cycle of the pests to determine the right time to remove the polyfers (if the period of inactivity is short we can keep the typing uninterrupted in the field).

For example, in the case of Carpocapsa we will withdraw it in October, while in the case of Euzophera pinguis we will keep it in the country all year round.
