Basic Instructions:

These steps provide a BASIC procedure for installing the Garden Protector Fence. Detailed installation instructions come with the Garden Protector

  1. Following the printed instructions for your Garden Protector, find the best spot for the metal ground rod. Drive it into good conductive earth (not rocky or sandy) until there is about 2" showing.
  2. Mount the energizer at eye level and out of the reach of small children or animals. Plug in the charger and watch the indicator light to make sure you have good power. Turn the charger off and unplug it before continuing.
  3. Space 10 supplied fence posts a maximum of 10 feet apart around the perimeter of the space to be enclosed.
  4. Push the posts into the ground about 6". Install the bare wire into the wire clips (4 per post) on each post. You decide on how many rows you want to install.
  5. Install warning signs on the top row of wire by running the wire through the signs.
  6. Make sure the fence line is clean and free of grass and other foliage. Any plants touching the wires will reduce the effectiveness of the enclosure.
  7. Attach the fence controller to the ground anchor using a section of the bare wire.
  8. Attach the charger to the fence using a section of the bare wire.
  9. Test the enclosure by plugging in the charger and turning it on.
