Savage - Model 8261 and 8042 -Harvesters
The Savage family of harvesters have been perfected through several generations of development over the past four decades. Tested in our own pecan orchard and many orchards around the world, they have become a standard of the industry in pecan harvesting.
A harvesting workhorse and a real value!
Nothing matches the flexibility and value of Savage Harvesters. Our larger 8261 Harvester is PTO powered and can be used by tractors as small as 45 HP. It has a generous 61" pick-up width and easily handles 12,000 pounds per day.
Dump quickly and get back to harvesting.
The 8261 Harvester sports an ingenious hydraulic side-dump mechanism. The bin will hold about 800 pounds of product and will dump into trailers as high as 8 1/2 feet in just a few seconds.
Harvester 8042: Our 8042 Harvester may be small, but it`s tough. It can be towed behind a lawn tractor or ATV and is capable of harvesting about 2200 pounds per day. Like its big brother, this harvester uses stout rubber fingers on a rotating metal drum to pick up nuts in grass, leaves, and on bare ground.
Get the harvest job done quickly!
Our smaller harvester sweeps a 42 inch path. As it picks up nuts, it eliminates most rocks, leaves and sticks. The nuts are elevated by an auger into sacks or buckets hung on the top/front end of the auger-lift. This harvester is powered by a Kohler 14HP electric-start gas engine.
