US Agriseeds - Model SW 1508 -Hybrid Tomato
Soil Sandy loams with good drainage are ideal. Climate Night temperature of 15-20*C and day temperature of 20-30*C are ideal for high yields. A very humid climate does not suit tomato cultivation.

- Season : January - March, May - August, October - December
- Seed : 40 - 60 gm per acre
- Spacing : 120 cm between rows and 45 cm between plants.
- Manures & Fertilizers
- 8 to 10 tons of FYM per acre has to be incorporated into the soil before transplanting in the main field. Green manuring crops before the main crop of tomato is also desirable.
- Basal Dose: 200 kg of DAP + 100 kg of MOP per acre.
- Top Dressing: 100 kg of Urea or 200 kg CAN + 50 kg of MOP per acre. Number of
- top dressing depends on the plant growth. Generally, two top dressing are done. First one when the plants are 25 days old in the main field and the second one when the plants are 50 days old. A micro nutrient sprat at the time of flowering is essential.
- Stacking : To realise the higher yields and better plant health stacking is necessary in tomatoes. Determinate tomatoes need one step of stacking whereas semi determinate tomatoes need two steps and indeterminate tomatoes needs three to four of stacking. Usually bamboo sticks used for stacking and wires or threads are used for tying plants.
- Irrigation Irrigation once in 3 to 4 days in light soils and 5 to 6 days in heavy soils is recommended.
