Lamot Valve & ArrestorModel L7658A - Inhibits Flame Propagation in Gas Piping Systems

SHARE
The Model L7658A Detonation In-Line Flame Arrestor is engineered to prevent flame propagation in gas piping systems, making it a suitable choice for safeguarding liquid storage tanks containing NEC Group D (IEC Class IIA) gases with a maximum experimental safe gap of 0.90 mm or more. Capable of both vertical and horizontal installations, it manages in-line or end-of-line deflagrations, unstable detonations, and burn times up to 10 minutes. Bi-directional flow and ignition source configurations are supported, with removable elements for onsite cleaning and maintenance. The design boasts a low pressure drop, with a range of element sizes per flange size to meet specific needs, and is built from high-quality carbon steel or stainless steel. Certified under ATEX Directive and USCG (33 CFR Part 154 App. A Type II), this flame arrestor demands the use of a thermocouple for flame detection, operating efficiently within temperature ranges of -4 to 140 ºF (-20 to 60 ºC) and at a maximum operational pressure of 15.7 psia (1.08 bara).
