Feed hoppers can be combined with belt feeders, vibrating feeders, screw conveyors, chain conveyors or rod feeders. They can be designed for intermediate storage of materials, or to be topped up by wheel loader or truck before the material is transported further in the process. The hoppers are usually equipped with various types of wear protection in steel or ceramic.
