High efficiency Liquid Fertilizer Application
Orthman’s Liquid Fertilizer Applicator is available as a three-point mounted system that works in conjunction with tractor-mounted saddle tanks, or as a fully integrated system pulling its own 1,000-gallon liquid fertilizer tank on two high-flotation R1 tires. The 3|LP works great for pre-plant fertilizer application, and its high underframe clearance for tall crops, make it a perfect solution for in-season side-dress application.

The all new Orthman spring coulter was designed with maximum efficiency at its core. The 20″ smooth or rippled coulters are secured solidly to a heavy duty row unit frame and mounted to the best toolbar in the industry … an Orthman.

Maintenance Free, Worry Free
The main pivot-arm of the spring coulter utilizes a greaseless composite bushing that never needs greasing. Providing up to 1,200 lbs. of residue cutting power, the fertilizer and chemical-resistant rubber compression spring is impervious to failures such as stretching or breaking, common with conventional steel springs.

Heavy-Duty Bearings
The fully-integrated hub bearing system is greased and sealed for life, requiring zero daily maintenance and saving valuable application time. In addition to their efficiency benefits, the bearings are engineered to withstand the harshest operating conditions with fertilizer-resistant plating and more than 5 tons of dynamic load strength to conquer high speed rock impacts.

Application Options to Match Your Operation
Order it in one of two application options: a low-disturbance coulter-mounted knife that delivers fertilizer below the soil to minimize evaporation, or a high-pressure injection nozzle that applies a solid stream of fertilizer right behind the coulter.

Narrow Transport
The Orthman 3|LP liquid fertilizer applicator is available in a wide range of implement sizes ranging from 8 to 24 rows, in 20-40″ spacing’s to meet the needs of virtually any operation.

The 3LP 15 coulter 30″ model is available with a narrow transport toolbar that allows it to transport down the road at an industry leading sub 17 foot transport width. Not only does it help speed things up on the road, its vertical folding outer wings allow the toolbar to pull double duty, becoming a 12 row applicator as well.

Patented Design
Orthman toolbars are designed around the original principles of the Orthman internal cylinder folding toolbar first developed in the 1970s. The toolbar’s innovative internal folding cylinder design allows the toolbar to fold while freeing up peripheral toolbar space that’s wasted in external folding cylinder models.

Additional Lifting Power
Optional lift assist wheels can be added to configurations 22” and wider to help reduce the tractor load with their 10,000 lb lift capacity and large tire width for better field flotation in wet conditions.

Optional GPS Implement Guidance
For greater precision, the Orthman Tracker® IV implement guidance system can be added to the 3|LP to provide sub-inch fertilizer placement accuracy.

Nurse-Tank Hitch
Add an Orthman Nurse-Tank Hitch to add even more side-dress fertilizer capacity to your cultivator. The TH4 features a telescoping and pivoting hitch tab to allow for easier connection to any trailer.

Precision Depth Control
For additional depth control, optional gauge wheels utilize heavy-duty hubs and an enclosed height-adjustment screw for easy, maintenance-free adjustments.
