Ebra - Model SJ Series -Manual Precision Seeder for All Seeds
Designed for the specific needs of market-gardeners, the SJ seeder uses the principle of distribution of seeds by tilted seed- plate. Initially created by EBRA for field-crop seeders, this system is simple (only one change of disc to switch from one crop to another), precise (seed by seed to approximately 80% for carrot gauge 1.6 - 1.8) and unbelievably general-purpose: from very small seeds (parsley...) to very large ones (broad beans, large beans and even small bulblets)!
Easy and comfortable handling
The EBRA seeder has an ideal weight - it remains in line even in cloddy or stony soil but remains easy to push and stable thanks to its broad wheels. The positioning of the handlebar allows both good steering of the seeder and easy u-turns at line-end by swinging the seeder around on the rear wheel. These features, along with the almost legendary solidity, make the EBRA seeder one of the best in its category for market-gardeners.

General Description:
- Precision seeder with mechanical distribution by tilted distributor disc
- Use for a very varied number of seeds, ranging from very small (carrots, parsley) to very large (big beans, broad beans...)
- Sowing capacity: approximately 500 to 800 m2 per hour for rows spaced at 30 cm
- Recommended walking speed: 2.5 to 4.5 Km/hr depending on the seeds (except very large seeds or small bulbs: 1 Km/hr)
- 5-litre hopper with instant emptying system
Distribution:
- Sowing blocks with cast iron body, aluminium distributor discs (except for certain special discs which are made of synthetic material)
- Disc driven by conical couple
- Adjustment of density by means of a set of interchangeable sprockets
Seed covering system:
- Planting of seeds by height-adjustable ploughshare sower made of shaped steel
- Depth of sowing regulated by sliding motion of the seed-boot, controlled by depth-screw lever on the Dynamic and Expert models (direct tightening on the downtube on SJ Essentiel)
- Covering of seeds by removable and adjustable skimmers (on SJ Dynamic and Expert) or by chain on SJ Essentiel
- Packing of seeds by the rear wheel after covering by the skimmers (removable)
