MOR - Model ePTFE - Micropore Membrane Compost Covers
Our ePTFE Micropore Compost covers with enhanced UV protection; (MOR covers do not significantly fade from their original black color); tensile strength is retained longer than other covers, and come with a five year limited warranty. MOR`s ePTFE (Expanded Polytetraflouroethylene) Micropore membrane Compost Covers are specifically designed for the aerated static pile (ASP) composting method. The Cover is a three-layer laminate consisting of an outer, protective, polyester fabric with an ePTFE membrane. This three-layer combination creates a simi-permeable breathable cover that reduces Odor and Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) emission reduction while allowing moisture vapor and air to pass through the cover.
Covers are custom made to meet client specifications with regards to facility design, feedstock characteristics, and process capacity.
MOR`s Covers are built in the USA (Italy, TX) utilizing both hand and automated manufacturing techniques to ensure cover build quality and increase the strength and durability of cover panel seams and probe ports and increase fugitive emission control. A double "French" seam provides greater tear and shear strengths to panel seams with a MonoSeal seam sealant added to prevent fugitive emissions (i.e. no more leaky seams). Welded PVC probe ports reinforce areas around temperature and oxygen probe locations to prevent stress points. A PVC side skirt provides ground protection and cover tie-down options.
MOR`s Covers have be tested on multiple feedstocks and are currently utilized in Biosolids (sludge), Food Waste, Green Waste, Poultry, and Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) composting operations. Independent 3rd party testing has shown VOC reduction of over 90% with the cover meeting both San Joaquin Valley SPCD Rule 4565 section 5.3.3 80% control efficiency and section 7.4.4 90% control efficiency. MOR`s Covers also meet EPA Rule 503 40 CFR and is recognized by the US EPA to meet the requirements for Process to Further Reduce Pathogens (PFRP) of the within-vessel aerated static pile composting method.
