Great Game of Business

In 2008, David Moore was appointed Paul Mueller Company’s president. As grandson of our founder Paul Mueller, David deeply believed in the diverse experience and dedication of Mueller’s workforce. He entered his new role with the firm belief that every employee “had the ability to change the trajectory of where we were headed as a company.”

In 2012, our company launched an initiative that reshaped the culture entirely. Based on the Great Game of Business’ (GGOB)principles of open-book management, employee training programs were introduced to help coworkers tap into the universal human need to win, discover the rules of business, and empower them to forecast, comprehend, and improve financial scores. By giving our coworkers a stake in the company’s financial outcomes, we are all able to rally around a common goal.

To this day, we continue to train our coworkers in financial literacy disciplines and process improvement education through GGOB Mini Games. Open-book management empowers all of us to initiate innovative and sustainable solutions using functionally, technically, and educationally diverse backgrounds.
