This is Cotton Mussel Socking, there are two different stitch patterns here 2 x 1 and Full Stitch which refers to the hole sizes like thread count for fabric in a way. This holds mussel seed against some type of growing media ie Fuzzy rope, crop rope etc. The cotton socking holds the seed around the rope until it can attach itself and begin growing on the main supporting media. Eventually the cotton socking will dissolve away and no longer hinder the mussel growth.
This product is continuous length and comes in approx 20 lb lots.
