Moisio Moipu - Model AC700 - Multi Tree Handling Kit (MTH)

Equipping the harvester head with the Moipu AC700 Multi Tree Handling Kit can significantly speed up the process. The MTH Kit provides more space between the clips, allowing for the handling of more trees at once compared to the feed rollers alone. Additionally, the clips support the trees from above, helping the bundle stay upright and improving the stability of the operation.

Calm the pace of work with MTH kit
Harvester heads are typically used to handle larger trees, but processing energy wood individually can be slow and inefficient. When processing with smaller wood, the preferred method is to process multiple trunks at once and move them to a stack simultaneously. This method makes the work more efficient and economical.

When several trees are processed simultaneously with a harvester head, the number of work phases is reduced, which helps streamline the workflow. This results in less fuel consumption and saves the operator’s time. As the crane`s reciprocating movement is minimized, damage to standing trees is also reduced.

The AC7000 MTH Kit features a grapple opening of 70 cm, providing ample picking capacity and enough room to handle multiple trees at once with ease.

Lightweight and easy to install
The MTH Kit is designed to be installed on almost all harvester head models. The first installation takes more time, since the bracket for the kit is installed between the tilt and the rotator. The actual body of the MTH Kit is attached to this bracket.

When picking is not required, the body can be quickly removed from its fastener. The bracket is therefore fixed on the tilt, but the MTH Kit can be attached and removed quickly and easily as needed. The height of the bracket is only 60 mm.

However, the device does not prevent cutting large trees even if it is attached to the harvester, so removing it is not necessary, even if it is not used continuously.  Also, collector package weights only 70 kg, thanks to which it does not add significant additional weight to the head, and therefore does not increase fuel consumption.
Adjustable to match different grapple models
The working angle and forward and backward position of the MTH Kit can be adjusted to work optimally with different harvester heads and rotator types.

In order to work, the control of the picking package requires a control valve that is connected to the hydraulics of the base machine. If the harvester head does not have a valve, a picking package is available with a single or double coil control valve. Sufficient hydraulic pressure is 150–280 bar.
The MTH kit is compatible with almost all harvester heads. It can be ordered as an optional device when ordering a new harvester head and you will receive it pre-installed. The MTH kit can also be installed on an existing head.

We have tested and found the Moipu AC7000 MTH kit  to be effective with the following harvester heads:
