Nicolas - Model Tornado Maxi -Trailed Sprayer

A performant frame
A trailed frame especially designed for intensive use. Its load transfer onto the rear of the tractor will allow you to have a better grip and better traction on any type of soil. It is fitted with a rear bumper to protect the ventilation from any possible shock.

At work, the double tandem axles provide you with a better comfort and a good stability even at high speeds. Furthermore, to increase this stability you can fit (optional) this sprayer with a elastic block suspension.

To make your sprayer last in time, NICOLAS decided to paint their frames with two-component polyurethane paint, resistant to the weather and to phyto products.

A tank designed for reliability

The TORNADO maxi is fitted with a polyester tank designed to age well. It is manufactured with three different tank capacities 1000, 1500 and 2000 to perfectly fit the needs of your vineyards.

Willing to protect the environment, NICOLAS fitted its sprayers with a clean water tank of 100 liter capacity for the 1000 liters version and 200 liters capacity for the 1500 and 2000 liters versions. A hand washing can with a capacity of 15 liters is available on that sprayer.

The incorporation of the phyto product is done by a 400mm diameter man hole at the top of the tank. To keep the users safe, NICOLAS designed an overflow security pipe to discharge the product at the rear of the sprayer while incorporating.

An improved mixing for a perfect incorporation

A quality spraying is the result of a well mixed phyto product which is why NICOLAS chose to fit the TORNADO maxi with a mixing pump with an output of 560L/min.

To allow a fast and efficient homogenization while incorporating, NICOLAS has developed a TURBOMIXIN system.
While spraying, the brewing is performed by two venturis located at the bottom of the tank and to avoid foam formation this system slows down when the tank is nearly empty.

NICOLAS ventilation
Willing to constantly improve the spraying quality, NICOLAS fitted the TORNADO maxi with a reverse air intake to avoid any spraying recycling. The high pressure 550mm diameter centrifugal impeller has the highest output on the market, moreover its steel casing allows your spraying parameters to stay constant at all times.

Its 4 upper air outlets with 125mm diameter and 6 lower air outlets of 80mm allow a perfectly well balanced air release. NICOLAS fitted its ventilation with a 2 range gearbox to perfectly fit your vineyard, also included the APV system to ease your gear changing and with a neutral position while filling.

A pump that fits your needs
The TORNADO maxi is fitted in standard with a 3 diaphragm – piston APS71 pump with a maximum output of 71L/min. In the aim of the user comfort, the NICOLAS pumps are self – priming. To insure our users a good spraying and avoid any clogging while spraying, the TORNADO maxi has three filtering levels: tank sieve; suction and discharge filters.

A large choice of regulation
NICOLAS made the choice to fit the TORNADO maxi with three different types of regulation to perfectly your needs.

• The NICOLAS ergonomic low pressure regulation is 100% constant pressure, its lever located at the front of the sprayer allows you to set a pressure depending on the application rate desired, your speed and the spraying equipment fitted on your sprayer.
• The NICOLAS regulation with electric control is a 100% constant pressure regulation but you can set the pressure you desire from the cab thanks to an electric switch. You can set the different spraying parameters without getting out of the cab and change them while spraying.
• The NICOLAS DPAE regulation automatically controls the application rate according to your speed, you just need to set your application rate in the on-board computer. On the screen of this computer you can see four informations to control your spraying in real time. This on-board computer also assists you in your settings to improve your spraying, it can save 15 different settings and has a spraying daily recorder.
