NSN - Model FSC 2630 -Tires Solid and Cushion Components

Federal Supply Code 2630, Tires, Solid and Cushion, includes solid tires such as that used for light industrial vehicles, carts, and trailers, and cushion tires such as that for forklifts. Solid tires are tires that are made from solid rubber or plastic compounds. Cushion tires are made of smooth solid rubber and are fitted around a metal band; while cheaper and easier to maintain, they do not get the same traction that pneumatic tires can. FSC 2630 also includes rubber track laying treads.
