Next Instruments CropScanModel 3000S - On Silo Grain and Oil Seed Analyser

SHARE
The CropScan 3000S is an advanced on-silo analyzer developed for precise measurement of protein, moisture, and oil content in grains and oil seeds. Ideal for applications involving augers, conveyor belts, and pneumatic pumps, this system integrates a Near-Infrared (NIR) Spectrometer within an environmentally protected enclosure. The unit also includes a touch screen PC, a large digital display, and a remote sampling head connected via fiber optic cable. By sampling grains as they pass the remote head, the system uses NIR technology to analyze the grains' properties. The collected light is transmitted back to the spectrometer for analysis. With a sampling cycle of 7-12 seconds, the analyzed data is processed and relayed to internet-connected devices or other PCs through wireless or Ethernet connections. This allows for continuous monitoring via PCs, tablets, or smartphones, making it an efficient tool for grain quality assurance in real-time.

The CropScan 3000S On Silo Analyser is designed to measure protein, moisture and oil in grains and oils seeds flowing through an auger, off a conveyor belt or in a pneumatic pump. The system consists of a NIR Spectrometer housed in a environmental enclosure, a Touch Screen PC, a large format Digital Display, Remote Sampling Head and Fiber Optic Cable.

The CropScan 3000S is designed to trap a sample of grain as it flows past the Remote Sampling Head where a portion of the grain falls into it. NIR light is passed through the grains and then collected by a fiber optic cable that sends the light back to the NIR spectrometer. The grains drop out of the Remote Sampling Head back into the flowing grain stream or off to a collection bin where a running average sample can be collected. The process is then repeated approximately every 7-12 seconds. A PC using a touch screen interface controls the Remote Sampling Head and NIR spectrometer. The PC computes the protein, moisture and oil data and sends it the data to the internet or to another PC using a wireless modem or an Ethernet cable. The data can be monitored using a PC, tablet or smart phone.
