Composting organic manure
A key principle in organic agriculture is closing the resource loop. Manure is an important component of this concept. The organic manure supplied to Eraspo is composted, hygenised and processed further if necessary. The advantage of the composting process is that it stabilises the organic matter in the manure. The pathogens and weed seeds are destroyed during a process that heats the material to a minimum of 70°C for at least one hour. The water in the material evaporates and causes the mass and volume to shrink, leaving behind a dry, homogenous end product.
Organic compost
The compost produced in this way is sold to customers active in organic farming and horticulture. This compost is rich in nutrients and has a high organic content, which activates and improves soil biodiversity. This creates healthier soil and stronger, more resilient crops.
