The tensioned cover offered by PAS Manure Storage Systems is an efficient and durable solution designed for covering silos. These covers are primarily constructed from reinforced PVC with a density of either 850 or 900 grams per square meter. They come equipped with hardwood center columns and stainless steel straps which ensure stability and longevity. Typically, the tensioned covers come with two manholes, facilitating the mixing processes within the silo. This cover can be custom-made to fit any diameter and height, making it suitable for both new installations and existing silos. The structure can be installed using a crane or by unfolding it on a 'spider web', depending on conditions and installation method. The installation includes tensioning the hood with stainless steel ratchets for a secure fit. The tensioned cover holds a five-year warranty and is certified for ten years post-installation under KIWA certification standards. Legally, a manure storage system must be covered. A tension cover can be used on (almost) any type of silo, both new and existing. A hardwood center column and stainless steel straps keep the hood inspection in place and the silo permanently covered.
With (standard) two manholes, the tension cover is ideal for mixing the silo.
PAS Manure Storage Systems supplies several brands of tension cover, including the KIWA certified tension cover from Wiefferink.
The tension cover is available in all possible sizes and diameters and is therefore suitable for almost any type of silo.
Because the tensioning cap is completely custom-made, it fits any diameter and height.
The hood is made of reinforced PVC of 850 gr / m2 or 900 gr / m2. The hood can be placed perfectly on both new and existing silos. It is often even possible to reuse the existing hood with the same dimensions when replacing a silo.
The tension cover is fitted with two manholes as standard. The hood has a warranty period of 5 years and is approved for 10 years (after installation) in accordance with KIWA
