Pentek - Model Squirrel- III -Pneumatically Operated Scabbler Scarifies

SQUIRREL-III uses high-speed, reciprocating tungsten carbide tipped pistons to pulverize protective coating, laitance, and concrete substrate in a single-step process. Surfaces are left clean, with a uniformly keyed texture, and are ready to receive new protective coating, toppings, and overlays.

SQUIRREL-III incorporates a unique vacuum flow design which provides for high efficiency control of dust, debris and airborne contamination. Quality construction materials and surface finishes have been utilized to facilitate decontamination and to assure long life in contaminated work areas.

SQUIRREL-III can minimize or eliminate the need for the respiratory protection of operating personnel from airborne radiological and toxic particulate hazards; the need to protect nearby operating equipment from cross-contamination due to dust and debris is also minimized. SQUIRREL-III also incorporates Pentek’s patented scabbling head vibration isolation technology, which completely eliminates operator fatigue associated with conventional scabbling equipment.

Operator performance and efficiency can be as much as three times that experienced with conventional concrete scarifying/decontamination equipment thanks to the efficient control of airborne particulates and waste products and the elimination of operator fatigue. The ergonomic design of the operator’s handle provides complete control, and is equipped with a quick-release-to-off safety feature, as well as a lock-on ring for continuous duty service. SQUIRREL-III is equipped with carrier wheels and a convenient handle for easy transport around the job site.
