With its horizontal mixing chamber, the plow mixer is versatile and durable. It has a solid shaft with welded or bolted mixer elements attached to the support posts. The mixer is constructed to meet USDA, FDA, and 3A sanitary requirements.
The fluidized bed created by the mixer’s agitator is perfect for mixing solids and liquids. The fluidization created by the mixing process is also ideal for heating or cooling the product, resulting in excellent surface area coverage on the mixer cylinder. This action increases the efficiency of the mixer to act as a drying or cooling vessel.
Scott Equipment’s plow mixers, feed mixers, and slurry mixers are available in mild or stainless steel. They are all manufactured with complete sanitary design, including steam heat, hot water heat, or cold-water jackets for cooling.
