Probodelt - Model BOAL15 -Bactrotrap Liquid
It is an attractive liquid food for dipters, especially for Bactrocera oleae, but not restrictive for this species. It can be applied both for monitoring and for the control of the olive fly (Bactrocera oleae) through the Mosquero Maxitrap XL, this combination of this musketeer is this attractant that records a higher number of catches among all products on the market. It is supplied in 1.5 litre bottles.

What is it?
It is a solution of crystal diamonic phosphate (NH 44) 2HPO 4 in water with a richness of 16% p/p.
What`s the use?
It is an attractive liquid food for dipters, especially for Bactrocera oleae, but not restrictive for this species.
It can be applied both for monitoring and for the control of the olive fly (Bactrocera oleae) through the Mosquero Maxitrap XL, this combination of this musketeer is this attractant that records a higher number of catches among all products on the market.
How to apply it?
The optimal concentration for use is 4%: dilute 1 part of liquid Bactrotrap 16% in 3 parts of water.
Before hanging the musket, it will have been filled completely with diluted liquid Bactrotrap. The musketeer must be hung facing south and in the inner cup of the olive/tree at the approximate height of the eyes (1.50 to 1.75 meters).
The duration of the attractive depends on temperature, humidity and wind, at an indicative basis it can last from 3 to 6 weeks. It is advisable to periodically check some muskets and when some with less than 1 cm of liquid are detected to proceed to the filling. To facilitate the work it is recommended to do so with a backpack sprayer with the trimmed nozzle. Enter the nozzle into the side hole until it`s capped. Apply the fluid with pressure. There`s no need to unlepend the muskets. Fully fill up to the height of the inner funnel. It may be necessary 3 to 8 fillings per campaign.
When to apply it?
The optimal time of application will depend on the biology of the fly in each area. As a guide, we will distinguish two areas to define these moments:
- Low incidence zones (summer and extreme winters): it should be applied in mid-end July, anticipating possible late summer rains and the cooler and wetterer days.
- Areas of high incidence (temperate climate or mountain areas): it should be applied in late spring, a few weeks before the hardening of the bone (earth sensitivity to the fly). This will condition the number of fillings.
How much liquid Bactrotrap 16% will we use?
Starting from the dissolution with water of the attractive liquid Bactrotrap, of the capacity (0.7 liters) and the density of the Maxitrap XL Mosqueros (See in the product sheet) and the amount of times we need to fill the muskets, we can take the bills out of how much liquid Bactrotrap should be bought.
To carry out the monitoring we will need little amount while in the case of mass capture the consumption will increase.
How`s it sold?
It is supplied in 1.5 litre bottles.
When to remove it?
Depending on the weather and plague pressure of the area, in unproblematic areas or years it can be withdrawn before harvesting.
If significant catches are expected throughout the year, high pest pressure and favorable conditions recommend keeping the musketeer active all year round to achieve a steady reduction in fly populations.
