How to use rope tree shaking machines?

The belt at the end of the steel rope is tied to the flexible main branches of the tree or, if the tree is young, to a section of the tree trunk where it can flex. The rope is tensioned by driving the tractor forward. When the PTO shaft is engaged, the tree starts to shake, and the fruit falls off the branch. The shaking intensity and speed are adjusted with the tractor.

Rope length information:

The shorter and lighter the steel rope is, the better the shaking performance. As the rope lengthens, it may start to sag, negatively affecting the shaking performance. You can shorten the rope of the machine to your desired length. A rope length that prevents the tractor from crushing the harvested crops is sufficient. This length can be 4-6 meters for young trees and 8-10 meters for older trees.

Does it harm the trees?

Although it varies according to the selected model, Kadıoğlu Rope Shaking Machines pull and release the attached part of the tree by 5-12 cm during harvest (controlled by the user). This amount of flex is much less than what the tree experiences in the wind. Since the Vibrope Harvesting Machine shakes by pulling and releasing, flexible areas away from branch intersections should be selected. If the belt is tied near branch intersections, the section may struggle to flex, causing the branch to break. Care should be taken to select flexible areas.
