Rotajet feed hoppers are used all over the world by many different industries including plastic recycling, waste to energy and other general applications. Rotajet cater for a full range of applications with our feed hoppers by offering many options in their construction and design. Depending on your application we can manufacture this product from mild steel, 304 stainless steel or 316 stainless steel. Multiple sizes are also available and range from a few cubic meters to very large multi-chamber hoppers.

Generally, in the plastic recycling industry they are fitted with screw auger conveyors to discharge the material. This means that in normal applications single screw augers are used and can be designed with various diameters allowing you to achieve your desired throughput rate.

In very large plants we can increase the throughput rate even further by fitting multiple screw augers. This multi-screw system avoids bridging and blockages. This system can remove blockages by adjusting the direction and speed of the screw augers, reducing machine downtime and improving your overall throughput rate. This can be controlled automatically as the torque, direction and speed of the screw augers are controlled and monitored through the PLC.
