Shepherdsmate - Shepherdsmate Handling Race with Squeeze Clamp
The Shepherdsmate sheep handler can be used as a static or mobile handler with either left or right-handed operation.
The Shepherdsmate is hot dipped galvanised and is assembled with stainless-steel fixings.
The mobile Shepherdsmate Handler is fitted on a trailer hydraulic lift so no time is wasted removing or refitting wheels or hitch.
The main handler sides are narrower at the bottom and wide at the top with a unique three-way drafting gate.
It incorporates a one-handed stop gate which leaves the second-hand free to condition score sheep as they pass through.
A foot pedal operates the back gate.
Sheep are standing at operator hand height and this allows full vision of sheep.
There are two rubber flaps fitted on the outer side of the main handler to protect the sheep. The back of the handler is fitted with a rubber grip.
At the side there are convenient holders for dosing guns and injectors positioned at hand height.
The chequered plate floor is fitted with four load cells which are connected by industry standard 7-pin waterproof connector to the weigh indicator of your choice.
At the back, there is a vertical pole with a rope attachment for operating the guillotine gate to exit the footbath, a bracket to hold a shearing machine and a hook to hold a container of blowfly protection.
In front there is another vertical pole for holding the shearing machine and a bracket for holding dosing containers.
On top of the Shepherdsmate sheep handler there are two shelves for holding spray markers, clippers, and other small items.
The gently sloping race ramp to the rear of the sheep handler has a hot-dipped galvanized self-cleaning floor.
Light-weight, UV-stabilized panels are fitted to the race with the bottom narrower than the top.
Anti-backing flaps are fitted to the inside of the panels to keep the sheep moving forward with the sheep having a clear view through the handler on entry.
