Polycrop - Silage Bale Wrap
All over the world, farmers and agricultural contractors have come to depend on one brand of film to meet their bale wrapping needs: Polycrop from BPI. Polycrop is manufactured in the UK and Canada under stringent quality standards - including ISO 9001. We combine the latest polyethylene manufacturing techniques with research and field trials involving farmers, contractors, and agricultural research facilities. The manufacturing process utilizes the latest advances in polymer science and production technology, to ensure Polycrop provides the best silage bale protection available.
With over two decades of agricultural industry experience and a unique understanding of balewrapping, AT Films, Inc. has produced a dynamic film that offers a number of important benefits:
- Versatile for use on round or square bales.
- High tack level for excellent sealing between layers.
- New weatherproof rigid plastic core.
- Multi-layer construction for superior strength.
- Uniform appearance during all stages of the wrapping process.
- UV stabilized for nearly all climates.
Polycrop is produced using specially formulated polymers to ensure trouble-free wrapping and better protection for wrapped bales. This process not only offers exceptional strength and stretch- and tear-resistance, it also makes Polycrop ideal for use with high-speed square bale and combination bale wrappers.
High Puncture Resistance
As any hole in a wrapped bale can hinder the ensiling process and encourage the growth of molds that lead to bale spoilage, Polycrop has been specifically developed to protect against punctures. In fact, the protection it offers far surpasses that of lower quality balewrapping films which can be prone to puncturing.
High Tack Characteristics
Few things are more important to the production of nutritious, good quality silage bales than the need to keep air out and silage juices in. Polycrop unique tack characteristics provide instant adherence of film layers and delivers a secondary tack, producing a tight bond between layers during storage. The tack also ensures that film ‘tails’ easily adhere to the outside of the bale once wrapping is complete.
A Film for all Climates
Built-in UV inhibitors help prevent film degradation when exposed to direct sunlight—allowing Polycrop to keep bales safe and secure in almost any climate.
