Shuowei - Model SWKD-4.0HFV -Small Wood Drying Kiln

The principle of a wood drying kiln is to use wood as a medium, which is like a capacitor between two metal plates. When a voltage is given, an electric field is created between the two plates. The water molecules between the electrodes are polarized by the alternating magnetic field and move at very high speeds.
Collision and friction between water molecules (millions of times per second) generate heat in a very short time.
It is quite different from traditional steam kilns or ordinary vacuum kilns which use hot air or steam to dry wood from surface to core. The high-frequency power supply does not heat the wood moisture but allows the wood moisture to heat itself.
It is a direct heating and this continuous effect heats the entire wood uniformly from the surface to the core.
This is one of the reasons why high-frequency vacuum drying kilns are faster than traditional wood drying kilns.
